The Environmental Engineering Sludge Puppies
Although subject to considerable debate, the Environmental Engineering
intramural sports program, the Sludge Puppies, was very loosely established
in 1994. The mission of the Sludge Puppies is,
1) Friendship
2) Teamwork
3) A healthy outlet through which to blow off steam created in the lab and
classroom
Anyone with a desire to play a sport is invited to participate. Although
our primary objective is fun, we have been a force to be reckoned with on
the Virginia Tech Campus for the better part of 10 years. The Sludge
Puppies have brought home University Intramural Championships in men's
softball, co-rec softball, tennis, and bowling. The Puppies also won the
Overall University Intramural Championship in 1999 and the
Faculty/Staff/Graduate Student Division Championship in 1998 and
2003.
