Ground Water Interactive currently offers five contaminant fate and transport models. Each is described briefly below. All the models are Windows-based and available for downloading. For
users of Internet Explorer, all of these models may also be run directly from your browser using ActiveX controls. This may require that you set your browser's security setting to low. |

Contaminant 1D
|
A 1-dimensional contaminant transport model that uses sliders to set parameter values. Resulting concentration graph is automatically updated. Very useful for visual explanations
of dispersion, sorption, and decay. |
Soil Partitioning
|
Graphically displays the partitioning of a contaminant into the organic soil phase, inorganic soil phase, aqueous phase, and vapor phase. |
Random Walk
|
A two-dimensional particle tracking model. Particles and flow paths are dynamically displayed. Allows pumping wells to be located within the aquifer. |
Well Drawdown
|
Plots the potentiometric surface change in response to well pumping. Drawdown can be plotted as a function of distance at a constant time, or as a function of time at a constant
distance. |
pCpHDiagrammer
|
Displays the pCpH diagram and charge balance graphs for a variety of organic and inorganic acids. |
Utilities
|
Downloadable versions of several useful utilities for file management. |
