CEE in the National Capital Region

The Charles E. Via, Jr. Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has a long-standing graduate academic and research presence in the National Capital Region. The currently available program areas include: 

  • Environmental & Water Resources Engineering
  • Civil Infrastructure Engineering (interdisciplinary program area)
  • Geospatial Engineering (interdisciplinary program area) 

The Department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degree educational programs as well as several graduate certificates, which are fully integrated across locations. Approximately 100 full and part time students participate in the National Capital Region and graduates can expect to move into advanced positions as project managers, lab directors, engineering managers, technology executives, and university faculty.
