Program of Study Information
Your Program of Study must be submitted prior to the completion of 15 credit hours of coursework. If your program of study is not filed before preregistration of your next semester, your registration will be BLOCKED. There will be no exceptions to this rule unless approved by the Department Head.
Some points to remember when preparing your Program of Study:
- An example of the design of the Program of Study is located under Important Documents. It can also be found in the back of the Graduate Polices and Procedures Manual which will be given to you at the beginning of school or shortly thereafter.
- Under supporting courses you would list the two one-credit Environmental and Water Resources Engineering seminars (CEE 5944). Please remember that the two seminars cannot count toward your 30 credit hours needed for an MS degree or 90 credit hours needed for Ph.D since it is a Pass/Fail class. Classes listed under Supporting Courses will not count toward your credits for your degree.
- For a Master’s degree you must choose a Chair and two Committee Members. For a Ph.D. degree a Chair and three Committee Members are required. PhD students must be registered in the semester that they take their preliminary examination.
- After you have prepared your Program of Study and you have obtained signatures from your chair and committee members, please submit your Program of Study to Beth Lucas.
